The Saint John's men's soccer team celebrate their Big East Tournament Championship after defeating Notre Dame 5-3 on Penalty Kick.Saint John's prevailed in double overtime to defeat Notre Dame 5-3 on penalty kicks. With both teams locked on a 0-0 scoreline through full and 2 overtime, it was on to the dreaded penalty kicks where St John's converted all five of their penalty kicks to crown themselves the 2009 Big East Conference Tournament Champions. Saint John's Sophomore Forward Walter Hines was named Most Outstanding Offensive player while teammate Red-Shirt Senior Goalkeeper Derby Carrillo won the Most Outstanding Defensive player award.Way to Go St. John's!
