Rutgers University Men's Soccer TeamRutgers University men's soccer had a poor showing last season. The Scarlet knights won a total of 6 games, 3 of which came in Big East Conference play.Those 3 wins saw them finishing in last place in the Big East Conference Red Division. The preseason looks dull rather than bright for the Scarlet Knights as stand out forward Dilly Duka who was the leading goal scorer for the team last season,has left Rutgers to pursue other possible soccer options. The Knights will have returning players such the speedy Chris Edwards and the diminutive Forward Stafford Chipungu.Other impact players include defense/midfield Scot Cameron and the big burly striker Charlie Cox.
If the aforementioned players show great form in the 2009 season,the Scarlet Knights should at the very least,challenge for a playoff spot in the Big East Conference.
