The University of Louisville Men's Soccer Team.
The University of Louisville Men's Soccer team won 11 games last season,5 of which came in Big East Conference play. The Cardinals had an impressive post season defeating West Virginia 2-0 in the first round of the Big East Tournament,then lost 1-0 to Notre Dame in quarter final play.Louisville's post season did not end there, they played in the first round of the NCAA Tournament where they lost in overtime to Jacksonville 4-3.
The team will look to build upon last seasons successful run with returning starters such as Junior Midfielder/Forward J.T Murray,Junior Forward Gerardo Chavez.Other players expected to make an impact for the cardinal this season include Sophomore Forward Colin Rolfe, Junior Austin Berry,Senior Zachary Hernan and Senior Defender Chase Kreger. Louiseville should be a force in the Big East Conference for the 2009 season.
